How do you roll? a maki sushi bar will distribute 25,000 Free Kid’s meal cards in early December to Austin schools, daycares, museums, and after school programs. The restaurant continues to promote healthy eating for the next generation and is encouraging little ones to try healthier options with their kid’s menu. The restaurant offers kids the choice of a chicken, beef, or kani teriyaki bowl or a Junior Sushi roll with 1 meat and 1 veggie as well as a side of edamame or a fruit cup, drink, and a toy.
The “create-your-own-roll” restaurant allows guests to choose each ingredient in their sushi roll. By allowing kids to choose healthy options for their meal, How do you roll? hopes to empower kids to make healthier decisions in all areas of their lives. “Part of our corporate mission is making the world better by fighting against obesity and other health diseases. We want to provide the next generation of eaters a fun alternative,” says CEO, Yuen Yung.
How do you roll? is a fast-casual sushi restaurant that allows guests to customize maki sushi rolls. The menu offers several cooked meats such as chicken and beef as well as cooked and raw fish and provides several unique fruit and vegetable options, including strawberries, mango, and baby spinach. The restaurant’s web site features a nutritional calculator for guests to view rolls’ nutritional information. The restaurant currently has three Austin locations and is now franchising and is rapidly expanding across Texas and into other states.
